Death

I am Death;
An exalted truth;
Your ineluctable abode;
And your most loyal companion.

I keep watch;
Even while you are asleep;
In the break of the dawn;
And the silence of the night.

I linger around;
Cuddling and kissing you;
Resting my head on yours;
Holding your hand in mine.

You can see me;
In a roaring storm;
In the arms of a tornado;
And the cry of an earthquake.

You can feel me;
In the coldness of the snow;
Vastness of the ocean;
And the warmth of the fire.

The more you run away;
The closer I get to you;
Your age bridging the gap;
And pulling me to you.

With every passing moment;
I come a step closer;
You stay chained in the end;
Of this tunnel, called life.

 I taste sweeter than;
The grapes in your yard;
And feel warmer than;
Your lovely winter blankets.

You shall be at home;
In the depths of my arms;
I shall take you to places;
Across the horizon.

Freed from this mortal cage;
You shall be escorted;
To the house of the Gods;
On the crest of the Zion.

There you shall live;
Forever in my arms;
Together we shall sing;
In the company of the stars.

Rain

I'm in love with the rain;
The rain that pours down;
Stealing away the sorrows hidden;
Bringing back a smile to my lips.

The little drops like pearls;
Roll down the bosom of the earth;
Emanating a fragrance, so pleasant;
Waking me up from a dreamy sleep.

Could anything be more beautiful?
Other than the rain in love;
Quenching the thirst of the earth;
With every single tiny drop.

The subtle prompts of the thunder;
Have woken up the mighty clouds;
Lighning bolts are unleashed;
Piercing the skin of the earth.

The earth shudders in awe;
As if shy to embrace the rain;
Slowly she gives in smiling;
And singing in divine pleasure.

She weeps as the clouds move by;
With a sadness flooding her eyes;
Clinging on to the promise of the sky;
She waits for her lover to be back.
